Our friends from Poongsan Corporation have donated a miniature scale working model of the blank preparation process. This fun informative and interactive display is found in the upstairs gallery.

Since opening our new tourist facility in 2009 the Mint has experienced a resurgence in visitor numbers all eager to view the varying coin production processes of this world class facility. Thank you all for your support and remember to keep the Royal Australian Mint on your list of things to do next time you're in the Nation's capital.

Coin News

Later this year the Royal Australian Mint will produce a circulating commemorative 20c coin to mark the Centenary of the Australian Taxation Office. About five million 20c pieces will be minted and released into general circulation in the second half of the year. Make sure you keep an eye out in your change for this new coin.
